Glenn Dickey talked about residential energy efficiency and home energy audits.  He has been doing energy audits for the last 20 years and is part of the MD Home Performance Program. The purpose of this program is to perform energy audits intended to lower your energy bills, making your home safer and more energy friendly.  The program embarks on a whole house approach, addressing energy efficiency, safety, cleaner indoor air quality, and durability. Glenn emphasized the need for an energy audit, which includes the following: air sealing the house (including the ducts), insulate to improve heating and cooling, change the lighting, and upgrade the electrical appliances.  For more information go to: www.mdhomeperformance.org.
